Does anyone know what model has adjustable legs, diamond honed slate, and particle board in the base? Did this start with GC3?

Also, what model does not need rails recalibration for new cushions? GC 3 on?

For refurbished GC1...install of new cushions without rail recalibration...how does this affect the play of the table?

Thanks for any help.

I think the GCIs & GCIIs were all painted and not stained. GCIIIs should have stained skirts and legs with copper colored castings. GCIVs had Brunswick logos on the corner castings. I think if you replace the Monarch Superspeeds with a current cushion the playing surface shrinks 1/4" in both directions, not a big deal I don't think but whats worse is it will no longer be twice as long as it is wide anymore. I was almost talked into this option on my GCII but in the end I just could not do it so I had my rails re-calibrated, with Artemis cushions and Simonis 860 it plays very, very similar to a Blue Label Diamond. I am not a mechanic so this info may not all be correct, just what I have found through my research so far.

Thanks very much for the reply. I plan to purchase a table soon...so just trying to figure out what my options are. This info helps.
