ok first the disclaimers
im a ghost ball aimer (so far)
i just recieved my dvd of ctepro one and have watched most of it
i must admit i am intrigued by the concepts
i came upon this "bullet" while watching
tweaking ok.jpg
if you can "tweak your aim"
when you are down and at center cue ball
isnt that "feel"??
since from what i understand so far once you are down on the shot
you have finished your perceptions and done your pivot or sweep
at that point the object ball doesnt matter
if you are focusing on object ball and cue ball during practice strokes
what are you focusing on the object ball?
my conjecture its the subconcious ghost line aiming line you learned way before you took up cte and thats how you tweak
this not an attack on cte
im trying to understand it
please be constructive in your comments to help me learn....:)
i have already bolded I COULD BE WRONG (and i probably am so EXPLAIN to mewhat dont i get)

No one, especially early on while learning CTE, will execute perfectly in a visual and physical manner. So, all that I meant was that if the tip needs tweaking a hair to CCB or so, it's okay. In other words, the player does not need to be mentally locked into CCB in a such a way that any movement of he tip is not allowed.

CTE IS A VISUAL SYSTEM. The cue does not always align to what the eyes have seen. The tweak can merely be a slight bridge V movement to CCB to the shot line that the eyes led the way to.

Think about a ZERO angle dead straight in shot. Every player tweaks to some degree on straight ins. WHY? Because the body is aligning to the center to center set- up.

BOTTOM LINE. In CTE PRO ONE there should be no more tweaking than what might occur for straight -ins.

With a zillion shots on the table we will never see them all. For many of those shots in CTE we simply TWEAK to dead center cue ball and trust the system.

The tweaks are to CCB not away from CCB so as to accept a shot with a little spin. I repeat the tweaks are all about CENTER CUE BALL. You can even tweak your aim to cheat a pocket....YES you can cheat a pocket if needed. IT IS OKAY TO TWEAK.

The feel is in the speed and spin NOT the ANGLE.

You are welcome!

Additionally, there is more to it. CTE is a refinement system. For example, I am continuing to improve with CTE even after many years of use. WHY? Because I am constantly working mostly with 15 and 30 and either a left or a right sweep to CCB..... There's more but the CTE shots are at the core of PRO ONE.

Another way to look at is...let's say a new player has his visuals dead on. The sweep occurs to CCB and the shot is not on. A tweak is done and now this known shot is dead.
This tweak resulted in a total 1/2 tip movement to CCB. And that is what is wanted. This is definitely moving forward in the learning process that happens with CTE.

Maybe that's where I'm having problems at times. Once I'm there I feel like I shouldn't move or tweak.

Will give it some thought and apply it at he table.
