Using the BK3 butt with a z2 or 314 shaft?

I called predator to ask the difference between the sport 2 butt and the bk 3 butt and was told the "construction is very similar". They couldn't really tell me more about it outside of that. I was thinking to keep a set at work that I can easily carry around, so I was considering on getting a bk3 with a sport grip and a z2 shaft to play with on it. Has anyone tried this? Or anyone who has access (dealer) give it a shot? I was thinking this would allow me to have a break and play cue with just carrying 2x1 in a cue bag.

There is very little technology in the butt of the cue that effects the hit other than weight and balance. I doubt you will notice any difference at all between your break butt and a regular playing but. I use my bk2 butt and a regular shaft all the time when i am testing stuff out and it works fine. And if you are asking if it will bolt up. Yes it will bolt up if it has the same pin.

It should work just fine for a travel cue. Weight, balance and wrap being the only critical points.

I have thought about doing the same. Use my BKIII J/B with a 314 shaft.

That way with one butt and two shafts, I'd have all I would need.
