What are the differences between TAP & APA leagues

Its possible and real here in Las Vegas and in Riverside CA.. 1,2,3 & a wildcard from every division qualify. I'm a player who built an app, I'm not a TAP national rep, so its possible its not this way everywhere.

But the point was that TAP has a more Direct rout to Nationals, which it does..........

Since we are talking simple math...Banks has been a member for 8 years...3642 posts / 8 = 455.25 posts a year / 365 days a year = 1.24 posts a day...not really that much when you look at it like that huh :D

But you said pay outs locally. TAP pays out a lot locally too. And we pay out more then the APA on a local level too. But why should I even say this. You want numbers and cold hard facts. Just answer one question.

APA claims over 250,000 members...Let's cut that in 1/2 to 125,000.

125,000 X $25 yearly dues = $3,125,000 to the APA front office.

Based on 7 players pr team avg 7 into 125,000 = 17,857 teams

I was told by former APA ops that they paid a $3 weekly fee to the APA office. Times that by say...40 weeks in the year.$2,142,840.

So we have over $5,200,000 in the front office. Not mentioning any sponsor deals, etc.

They say they pay out over $1 million in cash and prizes. Let's boost it up to 2 million, what the hell.

MY QUESTION TO YOU...SINCE I DID THE MATH FOR YOU AND REALLY I TOOK 1/2 OF WHAT THEY CLAIM TO HAVE MEMBERSHIP WISE...

Nope your just acting like another one of the jerks on here that is a keyboard tough guy. If we were face to face we would have a nice civil conversation and a agree to disagree...but put a keyboard in front of them and suddenly they turn into a rude condescending know it all asshole. I've been giving negatives to everyone who acts like you lately. I have noticed in this thread that only you and the apa operator have acted like that and all the people talking about tap seem to go out of the there way to keep it civil. Hmmm feels like my local apa league.

I don't doubt that it has a more direct route. If that had been the statement, I wouldn't have said a thing. I also wouldn't have said a thing if you had said, "in my area, every division has a wildcard". You're making statements that are either uninformed or intentionally misleading. That's what I have a problem with. I have my own gripes with leagues that I've played in, including APA, but I don't go making things up.

Yeah, just like you sit back and knock APA players all the time, but have continued to play in it. We've gone over this before. About 30 years and finally a 9. Tell me more. If you want to be condescending towards players, you had better take a quick look at your position first.

All the people talking about TAP seem to go out of their way to keep it civil? Yeah, pretty easy to do when you're giving false information. :rolleyes:

I posted APA numbers and I cut them in 1/2. I didn't make a thing up. If I used their 250,000 members number like they post it would double and that's 6 million...WOW!

You seem to argue everything else on here so give me a answer...You tell me...WHERE IS THE 3 MILLION?

I didnt make these numbers up like you say I make TAP's up. These are posted on the APA site. Over 3 million dollars is fairly hard to misplace dont you think?

And as for 3,000 posts in 8 years...Look at my stats..125 posts in 10 years...and probably 10 have been in the last 2 days...:)..I don't live on a here like Banks...lol

I'm not making anything up. I'm a player..and in my own personal experiences in TAP in southern California and Las Vegas....this is the way its done.

It seems you have a problem with TAP.

I played with a family from Ohio who said the same thing. They said it was always pulled immediately in front of everyone. They were miffed when it wasn't here. This has been covered ..tap or Apa can be great or terrible. It all comes down to the operator !
 
Wildcards

I used to draw a wild card years ago but I found out the teams would rather play for a spot. If I cant get a play off week in what I have done in the past is gave teams numbers based on how high they finished in their division (the higher you placed the more numbers you get) and then what number came up first on a predetermined night on the Pa. daily number got the spot. But almost always its a playoff tween the two teams.

Let's see, 125 posts and I'd guess that at least 5 of those were in this thread spreading false information, which brings you to a minimum 4% untruthiness rating. That's not something to be proud of. If you want to start insulting people with post counts, why not come right out and do it? I'm sure you'll be welcomed with open arms.

I could really care less if the office did belong to the Shark Tank folks. I play for fun. Luckily, I made most of my 9 years of play back last Spring. About the money, it doesn't matter. You were the one making false claims.. repeatedly. The APA wasn't on here doing that. If you can't be honest about that, why would anyone consider you honest for anything else?

The way it works here is the top three teams make the playoffs, and one wild card. (So long as there are 5 or more teams in the division, etc, etc.).

The good part about the wild card is it gives every team a chance, so long as they keep playing. A small chance, and then they have to play the number one team, but still, its something to keep playing for, rather than just quitting. Plus, all four teams also get to go to Tri Cups, too. One of my teams made it states as a wild card, we managed to get our stuff together at the right time.

It has its place, at least to me, the way its run here.

Remember this is a comparison thread Mr Banks...do you have some insight as to one league might be better than the other?

SAM owns an awesome league. He's a TAP corporate rep and knows the TAP leagues as well as anyone. He's made comparisons using numbers from APAs own website..and you won't even acknowledge him on this. You just keep spinning a structurally flawed web of doubt and suspicion over everything anyone says about TAP.

I've never played in TAP and will never, due to the behaviour of both yourself and Sam, so I cannot say what the differences may be. What I can say, however, is that you and Sam were making a conscious effort to put out bad information to discredit the APA. Don't be mad that you got called on it.

Have you tried X Box? I hear its really neat gizmo..u should try that.
