Shane .V.B vs Nick. (The Greek) Ekonomopoulos

I don't think CSI is involved in this at all, SVB said on facebook Nick made an offer for Shane to come over and play and he accepted the offer, I like Shane in this match but anyone that thinks Nick has no chance might want to go watch his youtube videos cause this guy can play.

Lets not forget that the equipment they use in china is much different. Well that's what I heard anyway. If this match is on a diamond with a magic rack I don't think it matters if they played in Greece, china or another planet.

If its on a diamond and they use a magic rack I bet its gonna be a long evening for Nikos.

If they play on a gold crown with old cloth, no magic rack and slightly dirty balls you'll see a pretty close match I bet.

I watched a few of Nick's matches at the US Open 10b this year and I was quite impressed. He certainly plays a world-class 10b game, and he will be far from helpless against Shane. But to be honest, even if Nick is in the same class as Hohmann, Immonen or Ralf (which I don't quite think -- yet), he is a huge underdog to Shane at 10b in this format. His only chance imo, is if this is played on some kind of Greek or European make of table that Shane is unfamiliar with. And that might still not be enough to stop a massacre. I mean in the past year, Shane completely murdered Dennis in a race to 100, and then murdered Mika on Mika's home table in Mika's home room.

But either way I will be tuning in and I hope for a well-contested match. Kudos to Nick for stepping up and challenging Shane to such a duel. He's clearly got a lot of heart.

I will take Shane and give Nikos 7 games, if Nikos gets to 43 you win.
I would like to bet between € 100 and € 200, you choose. However since you are new here
you will have to post the money either with me or someone we both know and trust.

gr. Dave

I will gladly take the 7 games and bet the $200,also I 'll like you to know that I will bet up to $5000, now what are the steps to make this wager?

I beg to differ on that opinion,Nikos run a 5 pack and a 4 pack of 10 ball on a diamond w/ a magic rack at Q-Masters against a very well known Philipino for a fairly high wager last, year, I think the night after you played that Greek young gun Alex Kazakis:)

I've also run a 4 and a 5 before. But Shane does it on a diamond and magic rack more often than anybody else.

Donny,

Are you saying that SVB is killer only on a diamond W/ a magic rack? ,and on any other equipment is just a very good player, most of the best players in the world don't play on diamonds, this particular match is on a GC4 w/ 4 1/2. Pockets not fast .

All woofing aside, the fact is that you have 2 very talented pool players, SVB best player in the USA maybe the world, Nick Ekonomopoulos we'll known in Europe and Asia a little under the radar in the USA ,both in their prime, both perfect gentlemen, who are going go play a challenge match in Athens Greece for a decent amount, I think is going to be a very close match.
Good luck to both players.
