Mitch Ellerman is a monster!

When Metro Sportz Bar in Phoenix installed nine Diamond bar boxes a while back, the Arizona Hot Shots Pool League (BCAPL sanctioned), immediately formed a Wednesday night in-house league there. The league is a tough one as it is open to all players (even pros), with no individual handicaps being provided.

The league just finished its first session, and Mitch Ellerman, who is a pro-level player, took top individual honors with ten 5-0 nights (in a 20-week session), thirty-six table runs (run from an open table), and 83 wins out of 95 games played (87% win average).

That is a phenomenal record, especially considering the level of competition. For example, Tommy Kennedy played one night there and won only two out of five games.

But it doesn't stop there. A week-and-a-half ago, Mitch won the AZ State One-Pocket championship against a very tough field, beating Scott Frost in the final match by the score of 5-3.

Mitch has also shown similar prowess in the games of 9-Ball and 10-Ball.

It's too bad this young man isn't able to get out to the big tournaments on a consistent basis, because I believe he has the potential to become a world champion.

Reminds me when I started playing, I saw a list of standings for the BCA division on the board. One name really stood out: Atwell. I saw the stats and..

It really puts our games into perspective. :embarrassed2:

Roger,

You must be in a time warp.....Mitch won that 1 Pocket match last Sunday the 6th, four days ago.
