Hi Justin,

Hope you enjoy the case.

I inlcuded 6 bottom bumpers for you instroke. Just remove the original bumpers and hammer in the new ones. This way you wont' have to remove the bottom of the case.

Removing the sticky contact cement is better off left alone. I would suggest leaving the current patch in place or replacing it with something else. The damage was done the day the patch was installed. Trying to remove it at this stage is just going to make matters worse. Trust me on this one.

Just a quick FYI on the Instroke feet. They are held in with a split rivet. While they can sometimes be removed by prying them out or pulling the foot without damaging the bottom it is also possible to split the bottom if they are forcibly removed. It is safer to remove the bottom piece and pry the rivet flaps up to loosen them.

I would recommend going slowly and if you encounter too much resistance then take the bottom off.

Also to add about nailing the new feet from Jack into the bottom. You want to be really careful there as well because the bottom piece on an Instroke is thin and could be easily split by nailing. I really recommend drilling tiny pilot holes to insure that this does not happen and stay away from the holes left by the removal of the original feet.

Regarding the patch nothing is lost by trying to remove the glue residue. At the end of it if you try to remove it and are not satisfied then Jack's advice to put something over it still works. However you might find that you can successfully remove the residue and end up with a result that you can live with.
