Hey guys! First new thread, but long time follower of the forum. I flew to St Louis today with more than a few speed bumps in my path to work with Mark Wilson. Loooong day. He and I are all set to work for a couple of days on my game. Mr Wilson has been very candid and open with me the last 6-8 weeks on the phone, and has shown me that he is the real deal. Class act. We are all set to start my lessons tomorrow one-on-one. I am fairly new to the "real" game (two years) and I am hoping he opens doors that take me to the next level. He has been very generous with our phone time and has given of himself completely. I will post updates here for all who are interested to hear of my learnings. My thanks to all who are like myself........eager to learn how to play the game correctly. Jimmy

I think Mark is the best and if you open up listen and learn you will love it. tell em Brendan said hi.

Mark is one of the best I'm gonna be geting some table time with him soon give us some updates :thumbup::thumbup:
 
Day one is in the books. Mark just dropped me off at my hotel after 6 hours on the table. Wow. His knowledge of the fundamentals and the game in general is amazing. He adjusted two little things in my setup and everything just fell into place. Cant wait for tomorrow and Monday. I am going to his home after our session at Linderwood Unicersity's billiard room. He has invited me to stay with him Sunday night and play on his 10 footer. Should be a treat. Mark is not only a great instructor, but a great person in general. He treated me with tremendous respect and professionalism. And he rolls the balls pretty well too!!

ooooohhhh...! i know something(s)....!

we just got off the phone w/ Jimmy. 30 mins of non-stop pool info & kudos @ Mark Wilson. he is so JACKED! and apparently Mark Wilson is a "Class Act". every other word was "Mark this", & "Mark Wilson that".

man, he is walking in TALL COTTON down there. hob-nobbing w/ Mosconi Team.

they accomplished so much today, rumour has it that Jimmy's gonna have to give Corey the 8 - shhhh! :cool:
 
Great chatting with you and hearing how this has so far exceeded expectation.

Are you going to get some jump lessons Jimmy? I'm tired of seeing rip marks on our hall's tables! ;)

Have you asked Mark how your cue fits your game?

Lastly, ask Mark why I wasn't selected for the team. Gracias. :grin-square:
 
KK....Mark talked a little about shaft taper/size. He says its a personal preference thing. Made perfect sense.
