How do you get chalk stains out of ivorine 3?

Is it possible without turning down the shaft?

If you haven't already, try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. They do a pretty incredible job on shafts and phenolic ferrules. They're available at pretty much any grocery store with cleaning supplies and relatively cheap

You don't get it out. Ivorine III is one of the worst materials for ferrule use on the market. The weave is very bad in this material. You can very easily ruin a ferrule trying to get the dirt out of these, which you will never totally do, no matter who the repair mechanic is. Just like long ago white phenolic was the rave, same woven material design, same bad dirt problem.

I can back up the old white phenolic thing. Mine hit awesome but they get extremely dirty. The magic eraser makes them look practically brand new but it doesn't last long.
