Good news

This will be a great event in a fantastic environment. Billiard Factory has put on some great clinics and is reaching out to promote the game. Thorsen and several other pros recently attended an event I believe. In spring go 09 I had the opportunity to play with Bustamonte, Reyes, and Charlie Williams. Charlie has since been to my home to coach me. CORRECTION, did I say playing....I was mostly holding my cue. It psychs you out when you wait to finally shoot and miss, then Effren laughs. It would be more accurate to say I got a private demonstration.

Anyone near should try and attend this event!

Hmm

someone else from J Ville needs o respond. I know one GC, and I think 3 other Brunswick? This is a Billiard retail store selling casual furniture and game room supplies. They have a playing area set up with at least 4 tables, maybe more for this event.

How many tables and what kind? Thanks.

There are 6 tournament tables that are Brunswick Gold Crown Vs and a couple of Olhausen. All 9ft
And 2 8ft tables for the junior event.

Thank you Phil Dade for your help!

Great people

Great Owner, great employees, great people, great store, and should be a great event!

Scott Jenn and i are in jax. Nice to know who else is. Unfortunately i have other things planned and can't make this one. But it should be a good time. The tables are some of the best kept in jax. The owner and staff are awesome. It even has a 3c table, for those carom game fans. One of my favorite places to play.

I'll second what others have said about the folks at Billiard Factory. I've heard nothing but good things about the previous events they've had there. I just haven't been able to get to one yet. As for 3 cushion tables; for those who don't know, Park Avenue Billiards in Orange Park just got one in a few weeks ago. A nice older Gabriels table.

Yes, I've played on it. It's a nice table. But as a fan who wants to see the sport grow in Jacksonville, its hidden from the rest of the room. Nice if you want a quiet game. Not good for promoting.

Yep, will be a great event up at the Billiard Factory this weekend!

Just to clarify, they have 6 tables - 2 tournament edition GC V's that play great, 2 GC Metro tables (one standard size, one shimmed), 1 9' Olhausen Pro, and 1 9' Brunswick home-style table. They rent for $5 for an hour or $10 for 2 or more hours, so great place to put some serious practice time in. They also have a 8' table for testing cues etc. that I think the juniors will play on. And as Skratch said, there is an older Soren Sogard carom table in house as well.

They host free monthly clinics, and also schedule tournaments or conduct exhibitions and clinics with known pros such as Thorsten, Johnny Archer, Ralph Eckert, Mika, Charlie, Jennifer Baretta, etc., with more pros tentatively scheduled in the future.

And they have the best teacher in town...
