I like using the .98. But its hard to really tell the difference between the two.

I suggest you try it before you buy it. A lot of people like it but it's not for everyone. The .98 is too sticky/messy for me.

The .98 and the 1.21 are both messy. If you can break the habit chalking after every shot go with the .98.

The chalk is a little missy but all chalk can be missy. I normally just use it once a rack without any problems.

I have a friend who still chalks before every shot with his 0.98B though.

The 98 is probably gummier. Neither is close really, but between the 2 the 1.21 is IMO closer to regular chalk
