Hey guys. I have a McDermott jump/break cue. I need to know the thread pitch of the longest butt end is. The screw that is on the piece that unscrews and laid to the side when jumping. I want to get a short piece made to go on the jump handle. Someone posted and said it is a quick release pin. I can't seem to find that pin. If you can tell me the thread pitch or sell me a quick release pin, that would be awesome... Thanks Email is captainjko2001@yahoo.com

MCDERMOTT RESPONDED TO ME AND SAID THE THREAD IS A 3/8 X 14................. JUST SO EVERYONE WILL KNOW IF THIS EVER COMES UP AGAIN..............

Probably a 3/8x10. If you can post a picture, it would help. Also, if you have the model number I'm sure McDermott or a quick google search could answer your question.

The main joint pin that screws into the shaft is a 3/8-10. The one I am talking about is where the butt unscrews in the middle of the butt. It is different than the 3/8-10. A standard 3/8-16 bolt will only go in about 1 thread. So its not that. It must be a 3/8-14 or 12. I sent McDermott a message but they have yet to respond.
 
It sounds like their quick release pin. It is indeed 3/8-16 that has had the threads turned off for quick unlock. I had to make one for a cue I'm building for a customer.
