I stood right next to him at the Derby and he's at LEAST a solid inch taller than me, and I'M 5'8
that's why I gladly made a bet he's at LEAST 5'9
No way he's 5' 9". Here we are in 2007 at DCC, I am 6' and we look like we're both standing fairly upright. You can even see 4-5 " difference at the shoulders.

He has bad posture. he was 5'8" or 5'9", but may have lost an inch or two due to age. He is one of the taller Filipino pros out there.

He's a giant. It amazes me how so many Filipino players came from poor, to often dominate pool.

This was a funny night. Efren was just sitting in the tournament room after the matches were over so I asked him if wanted to play 3-cushion, I was surprised he said yes. (It turned out this was the last time billiard tables were in the same building as the tournament). Corey and Mika soon followed and Corey was a little obnoxious when he continually kept asking Efren to do something for money while we were playing. I was so honored that Efren agreed to play I wanted to challenge Corey myself just to shut him up. But I took the high road and took my beating from Efren like a man. It was great.
I never realized Efren was like the pied piper - champions followed him that would never enter the billiard arena and the stands started to fill. I knew he drew a crowd wherever he was, but I never saw it happen from the beginning. It was a very memorable night for me.
And, I have bad posture, too.

I don't think it matters what we play (square, round, triangular), but I love that guy so all is good.
