Buffalo Billiards in Metairie, LA

You know, it sometimes gets kind of tiring to hear the Lock N Load refrain, "THE WORLD'S POOL HALL", but when I am at work, taking a peek at Facebook and see that Buffalo Billiards has once again, bought the entire U.S. Open 9 Ball Championship for the week and it is on now and I am itching to watch it, I realize that it is truly a unique pool room and am appreciative of the owner.

Yesterday, I told him, "Buff, we need some new carpet.", to which he replied in his most Buffalo voice, "Yea, ok........") He likes spending money on the proper necessities. :thumbup:

Does the NOLA area have any big tournaments throughout the year? I'm kinda shocked nothing has been coordinated with the casinos NOLA has. I think NOLA and pro pool would make nice bed-fellows.

Years ago, Grady Mathews and I made a presentation to Harrah's of New Orleans but no sleeping arrangements came of it.

The word on the street is that Lacy's Cue is interested in doing a pro event and an amateur event simultaneously. Just need a few sponsors. :wink:

It certainly is a large enough and a prestigious facility to hold two events at the same time.

It's pretty clear the owner has high ambitions. Well, when they do decide to have something of that nature, I'm sure I'll hear about it and I'll certainly look to get a troop of Yankees to make the trek!
