Western Mass BCA Starting

I would like to announce that we are starting BCA in Western Mass!

Right now we will be starting up with a Sunday night double jeopardy league on the 9foot tables out of Ivory Billiards in Holyoke, MA but we will hopefully be spreading out to other nights/areas soon.

If we get 6 teams on a given night one of them gets a paid trip to next years BCA nationals in Vegas along with cash being paid back.

We will be hosting a players meeting on October 26th at 5pm out of Ivory Billiards for all those interested. If you have a team or want to join one feel free to come down. We will be hosting all questions.

For further questions feel free to contact me through the forum. I am on here fairly regularly and will return any messages within a few days (usually same day).

Let me know if you get closer to the Worcester area. I'm in Shrewsbury so Holyoke is a little over an hour for me.

Im not anywhere close....but is this 8,9, or 10 ball? We are starting our second session down here with 10-ball and its going great.

Sure thing! I'm not sure if our license extends that far but if it does and we spread that way I'll let you know.

For the Sunday night league we are planning on doing both 9ball and 8ball. Should be a fun time and another option for players in the area looking for a different sort of league.

You can head to Ayer, there is a USAPL league there, I think the handicaps are better done there and it's in the same overal league system as the BCA. It's about a 45 min drive, about 20 minutes closer than Ivory.

You're pretty close to me, I'm in Millbury, a couple of towns over. I thought you lived closer to Boston.
 
We are using a different scoring system on 10 ball to get more players in.
1 point per ball made per rack. This way if you make 8 balls in the rack, but miss the last two and lose, you still get some points. The money ball is worth 14 points and that is the max you can score per rack. 5 racks played per night.

BCA is the way to go in my opinion. I hope you get your teams going strong.

That's a nice room, glad there is a league there for more business. I'll try to come by and check it and say Hi. My son and I have gone there to play a few times, clean tables although the ones I played on were very fast. The bar tables there are as good as any I have played on, Valleys but they played as good as the Diamond barboxes IMHO with how they are setup there.

Yeah, I think Ayer is about a half hour away. I could possibly do that.

Yes they play very fast. Fast Simonis on all the tables with good bumpers and extremely level. The owners trade extremely good care of the tables and reclothed everything every few years. I've been all over the country for pool and it's one of the best rooms I have had the pleasure to play out of because of how true the tables are. It's also one of those old school rooms and you can almost smell the history. It's had most of the greats pass through at one time or another from Mike Masse, Irving Crane, Mike Dechaine, Jeremy Sossei and many others.
