Why you ask???? I've known Jeff for many, many, many years, going back to the mid 80's when we were stationed in Hawaii..... He was, is and always has been a stand up guy!!!! You only had to spend a little time with him to get a true understanding that he comes from very good stock.......
He's also one hell of a player......
I lost touch with him, for about 20 years & when I reconnected with him, I was shocked to learn, the great pool player I once knew was now a cue maker......
We talked on the phone once I found out who was really making Olney cues, reconnected (we're talking 20 years of not keeping in touch)..... And let me say..... he was the SAME GUY i knew personally over several years in the navy (and we've come across other not only in Hawaii, but other areas of the world as well..... he's always been a guy to sit and talk with you, share something with you, a cold brew, how to make a shot, etc), but he never was disrectful or spent time bashing anyone, the way these ingrates are doing to him.....
Let me explain that..... When I reconnected with Jeff, we talked over many many many days, spent many hours on the phone, shared ideas on cues, how they are made, how he makes them, why, what cues he likes, or liked...... Jeff once played with one of my cues & beat a highly seasoned pro....... That cue was what he likes to pattern some of his cues after...... It was my SouthWest......... Jeff loved the hit & I can speak from personal experience, the cues Jeff puts out hit IMHO are just as good!!!!!! I said personal experience....... I acquired a cue from one of the same individuals who now wants to bash him, and was in awe!!!!!!! It's still with me, and I've been able to acquire other of his cues, from people (some may be posting here) and have sold them, having to to do NOTHING MORE than let someone take it to the table, play with it, and let them make their OWN decision......... Several times, I even let them take it home...... Almost always being greated with a call or in person, telling me, "I'm not getting it back"..... it's too good & I can't let it go........ They'd pay me, and I always admired the fact, I didn't have to pressure anyone, just let Jeff's fine work, do it ALL!!!!!!
I'm coming to the ingrates part....... When I reconnected with Jeff, he said, do you go on AZ Billiards, I said a little, but not much, he pointed me to a thread someone had started that showed a lot of his cues....... This thread was about 200,000 - 300,000 posts long, and Jeff told me, it'll take you a while, it's probably 3 - 5 years old...... So I started reading, checking out the cues (Got say it.....NICE WORK JEFF!!!!!) and what I noticed, there were many, many, many people posting on there (some of these same ingrates) saying how great Jeff's work was, if you own one olney cue, you'll own 5.......... I have a few questions.... but won't ask all of them....... Just a few.....
If Jeff, is such a bad guy........ why...... OH WHY...... would these people keep doing business with him, over a number of years & what appears to be a GREAT NUMBER of cues???????? I've always believed ACTIONS speaks much more louder, than mere words......... So if you guys were so mistreaded, unhappy, and disrespected by JEFF, why...... oh why..... did you continue to do business with him over a number of years......... Normally if a person is mistreaded by a business or person, they find other pursuits to accomplish what they desire..........
I suspect, these individuals, acquired a lot of JEFF's cues, probably at a DISCOUNT, and THEN FLIPPED them......... making.............. MONEY!!!!!!!!!

How about you call Jeff and chat with him concerning this whole ordeal. Just to make a point, Jeff was on good terms with my brother up until he called him a stupid ****er AFTER he sold HIS cue to someone ELSE........

That's the crazy part, this deal was definitely "un-Jeff like". And then, he dug himself a hole by his actions afterwards.
PLEASE Go back and read the first post. It's all true. Jeff has not rebutted any of it and has agreed he was wrong and even gave a half ass apology but still lied some more.
He is human and things can be overlooked IF you come clean and take ownership of your mistakes and try to make them right.
But just because people like you and a few others claim to have never had a bad thing to say about Jeff, doesn't mean everyone else is lying or full of shit......

Please go back and read the part where Jeff Olney denies the facts as the OP presented them. You won't find it because those facts are not in dispute.
Jeff confirmed that he gave the OP 4 days to pick up the cue, even said that he was late by 19 minutes on his phonecall. Everyone can make up their minds on whether that is acceptable behavior after waiting 4 years for a cue.
If you can stop nuthugging for one second so blood can drain back into your brain, you might gain some perspective and realize that your input is not helping Jeff in any way. But by all means, continue to bump this thread to the top of the page.
To be honest, I don't know what your meaning is, other than to give your description and your interactions with Jeff.

Jeff called one of our friends and told him how sorry he was about the whole thing.
Jeff NEVER called Brian(luck1st) to apologize to him after Jeff called him a "stupid fukker", you know, something that a "STAND UP GUY" would have no problem doing.
