Gareth Potts marking table

I'm not sure it was intentional, but I lean towards it is marking the table because he doesn't really have a tendency to move his cue tip back and forth on his other shots where he lines up similarly. It would be controversial to call a foul on it, and I'm glad that I'm not a ref that would have to make that call.

at 29:00 I don't think his tip is on the cloth when he moves it. Yes he set the tip on the cloth but due to camera angle it is off the cloth when he jesters (moves) it.

Watch closely again. He set's the cue down and basically vibrates the tip back and forth causing the mark. The mark is at 29.11

Thank you... Am I the only one who sees this as an intentional mark? If you are good at reading people, look at his face after this shot and going into the next shot... (with the ref standing behind him)

It does help... It gives you a reference point to play shape.
Someone of his caliber doesn't need this, you would think.

The "other" marks on the table come from drawing the ball right after you chalk the tip, not from placing the tip on the table and intentionally creating an aiming reference...

I guess people think its no big deal to break the rules, since he is such an "awesome" player, but it bothers me..

OK, on with my life :)
