I just spent two days in Ocala. I started out on some room on Silver Spring Rd. It was an ok place but nothing special. Then I went to Diamond Sports Bar. OMG, all brand new blue label 9ft Diamond Pro-AM tables. They roll straight as an arrow. The only problem was there were no players to play. The two days I was there I only played the owner 9ball. WTF, no one in Ocala wants to play on great tables?

Looks like they've had the Diamonds less than a year , but saw some pictures of what looks like Gandy's or GC'S before . Looks like Ocala has 60,000 and it is roughly 100 miles to Tampa , Jacksonville and Orlando . Might have something to do with their location , and they have a full bar so under 18's probably not allowed . If the owner makes his bread and butter from alcohol sales he can probably survive.

It may be that LOTS of people in Ocala are going to Boulevard Billiards. They have only one Diamond table, I believe (mostly Brunswick Gold Crowns), but it's a great set-up. Twenty tables in two rows with an elevated bar in the middle, with seating for spectators!

And it's no smoking!!!

The owner is a player and this is why it's a great place to play!
