What was you skill level after playing for a year?
How many year from then to now?
What's your skill level now?

I started playing around 21 and I am 46 now. Pretty much played the same my entire life. Still hoping to improve just more by using my brain over hours at the table. Which I don't have time for.
APA 9BALL SL7
APA8 BALL S6
BCA 8 BALL SL BB

In APA 8 ball, I was a 5 after playing one year. A 6 after playing 3 years. A 7 after playing 5 years. That was about 8 years ago.

I feel like I have improved some since then but not as much as I would have liked. Still have problems with consistency. Some nights the game is ridiculously easy and other nights it seems impossible.

After my first year I was a A player in BCA (Dallas/FTW area). The one and only time I played apa it was a masters league (everyone was a 7 I believe), we finished first in the league. I was a fanatic at first though, lived with one of the best players in the area, had a triple shimmed 9ft in the living room, and did drills religiously everyday. That was 9 yrs ago, and now I could give my former self the 7 ball. I also quit for 3.5 yrs during that time.
