I've been doing quite a bit of work since I got my lathe, but the tools that came with it is not the quality I need to obtain the tolerances I would like.
Im looking for specific information about what parting tools, cutters, indexable cutters and drill bits you guys recomend.
I have tons of ferrule work ahead of me, so i need some really sharp, high quality cutters (prefreably indexable ) and quality drill bits. I have been recomended 3 flute solid carbide, but I have trouble finding those in 5/16s
If there is a spesific place I should order from, thats great information too.

Thanks guys :-)

Look at Ghuring drill bits, sharpest ive used. Make your own tools from high speed steel tool blanks. Grind them yourself and save money and time. Carbide bits are good for stainless joints and some other odds and ends but for the most part hss bbw works well.

Thanks! I'll check out the Ghuring bits. I do have some hss blanks, but I need to experiment a bit before thats gonna my method of choice, so I still need some high quality cutting tools. I'll be machinig quite a bit of ferrules and making all kinds of collets from delrin/acetal so I need some high quality cutting tools and drill bits.

MSC has helical boring bars, I have two and they cut like a knife through hot butter. Look on YouTube, there are many videos on grinding a tool bit from hss.
