To let Brian Deska go to a friend of mine for 60 dollars in the Calcutta and is now playing Jason Shaw in the finals
This after he won against a formidable field in the APT beating Brandon Shuff twice and a 5/6 finish in the USBTC

I guess they will know who he is now

Brian smoked me in the last APT event in the first round...8-0 (ouch). I ran out to the nine in the first game and choked on the nine. I only got out of my chair a couple of times after that (and never had a shot). Felt bad until he beat Brandon Shuff in the finals for the win. He's really, really strong. Great to see him stay strong in such a tough event!

He's a very good 1 pocket player also, real solid game

Funny that you say that. I asked Brian last night about his one-pocket game and he shook his head, "No".
I also asked him about 14.1 and he gave me the same reply.

I watched Brian for a couple of hours, as he made a great comeback to defeat Dechaine in a race to 9, after Mike had him down 6 to 3.
Very impressive. Sometimes he uses a short poke-stroke, similar to Allen Hopkins.

He does not play one pocket as well as Rotation or 8 ball but he's a A level player ,there is not many in the Area he plays that will play him even

Funny my friend and I were just talking about him. He spoke to him at a tournament and he said he plays so well against pros because he has a job and that's his advantage. He doesn't care if he misses or Makes a ball. It he wins or loses. He doesn't need it to pay his bills and that's his advantage. Now if I could learn how he trained his mind to think like that it would be great!!

class

Brian is a class act also.... as nice as they come without all the drama... he'll make the Mosconi team soon enough and do all of us proud
