I have a question for the AZ crowd. I've been a high C to low B rated player due to lack of consistent practice for pretty much my entire life. Recently I've made a slight change (probably not even a change at all) which consists of telling myself to align my dominate eye (left) over the shaft of the cue while shooting. I know I haven't adjusted anything, just told myself I have. I rarely run racks, but since I've told myself I've made this eye/shaft change I've started playing the ghost (which I thought I wouldn't have a chance in hell). I'm up 4-3 and last week I made what I would boldly state are the 2 shots of the year (for any player) in my local poolhall. Layouts seem easy, I'm not taking the easiest shots on the table; which would be a no-brainer before, and feel my normal practice partners (buddies at the hall) are no challenge and seem boring (don't take this as a cocky shithead sorta way).
I haven't adjusted my stance or anything else for that matter. I just told myself that my left eye is over the shaft when I shoot (left handed shooter) and mysteriously the game got easier and fell into place.
God I love this game!
