Tone woods discussion

Hey Sawdust Makers,

I found this site wile looking up some wood species info. I thought some of you might find it interesting... Does anyone here think this information applies to cues? I'm curious to hear your thoughts. In your opinion, what are some woods that have good characteristics or bad characteristics in terms of tonality, stability, and work-ability? Do your observations match up to what these luthiers think?

Does anyone here think this information applies to cues?

Frankly, it has everything to do with cues.
What Luthiers refer to as 'tone' is what we call 'hit'.
They're both the same with different interpretations.
It's the resonance. Luthiers hear it, CMs feel it.
Other than that, it's the same thing.
