The publishing conundrum

There are a lot of conundrums to the publishing process some of them don't work out very well for authors that is for sure. A friend of mine that sets up ebooks for people actually wont publish his own books that way. Isnt that interesting? So one has to be extremely careful what one will allow to be given away. I am sure of only one thing. Working with documents, encryption and people is a minefield where you need to know the dangers way ahead of time before the first thing goes out. This tells me there is a market here.
