Where to play in Knoxville, TN

I'll be visiting Knoxville for a conference July 9-12 and am looking for a good place to play, preferably near downtown. I would also be interested in playing in any tournaments or meeting someone from the forums to play with.

Any suggestions?

Bumping this in hopes of getting some assistance. Having trouble finding something decent online.

I have not lived there in three years or so but there used to be a couple of places just south of downtown.

Knoxville billiards, no smoking, no outside food. Was a little dilapidated. Got a burger there over last years Holidays. Good burger. South across the river down chapman highway (Hwy 441) for about 1.3 miles past the river on your left before a big intersection. They have a variety of different sized tables. Pool tournaments during the week. I you want a beer there is a bar with bar boxes behind it. Smoking is legal so you can expect it the bar.

Further South down 441 about 2 more miles on the right just past a red light is McDonalds Billiards. It is hard to see but pull off the road at the Save Way or some other small grocery store and the long building at the back of the parking lot is it. They have/had a display room that can be played on. Seems like they have a snooker table. They are not open late (probably not past 2 or 3 pm) or if the owner is out installing a table somewhere. Probably smoking allowed. No alcohol I think.

Out west at Billiards and Brews about 7 or 8 miles down the I-40 will likely have diamond tables, beer, food, and smoking. you can google them they have a website or facebook page I think. They have weekend tournaments probably week day leagues. They will probably have more business than the other two places.

Except for the smoking, it sounds like Billiards and Brews is the kind of place I'm looking for, so I'll definitely look them up.

Thanks!

I went to Brews and Billiards last night. Pretty decent, they have 10 7' and 4 9' Diamond tables. They have a full bar and grill, including pizza and such (I didn't eat there, but might tonight).

Last night was league night, and they were packed until about 10:30pm. I got to shoot for about a half hour after that.

It was really easy to get to, pretty close to I-40, and the staff was very friendly. All in all, a decent place. My only complaint was that they allow smoking, but the ceilings were high and the ventilation was decent, so it was tolerable.
