Gonna be exciting to see 2 veterans of their respective game match up.

Efren need no intrduction and for those who dont know Jimmy, he is a child prodigy in snooker who started off standing on coke crates hustling oldies since he was 8 and made a couple 147's in his career know as the whirlwind for his fast exciting loose play :)

Wow Filling Station love this place,. Used to hang around here and P Burgos area when was in Manila years ago. The rack gals here can rack with only their hands

White probably better know as greatest player never to win World Championship. He is like the Ivan Lendl of pool.
IMHO Efren is the slight favorite in this

Are they playing 9 ball or snooker?

Look carefully at the poster- see the 9ball there ? :D

i'm not sure whether to watch this match or not. i mean, i 've seen efren a lot of times, but not jimmy white. it's a bit pricey and it's only race to 10.

Jimmy White must feel very comfortable in the Philippines.......
....unlike a lot of the UK snooker pros, he and his childhood friend, Tony Meo, were action
hounds and scufflers by the age of 15.....because of this, they both played pro-level
before they were old enough to drink legally.

Jimmy honed his game on action, just like the Pinoys and our road players......
.....it isn't always about coaching in austere surroundings.....:)

If I'm reading this right.....
Free admission, free lunch, free bar and there are rack girls that rack the balls and only use their hands when racking......!?

This event trend needs to catch on more for pool in the states!

Plz

Admission looks to be 5,000 which is over $100 in USD. And it's a race to 10. That's like 1.5 hours if it goes hill-hill maybe, not what $100 in pool money should buy.

That last part about trophy presentation is free, but also "free bar"? So you can show up at the end, hang out and get free drinks?

It sounds like it will be close. Is there streaming?

that's when we'll probably crash in. i'd like a picture with jimmy white.

In what sense? That comparison seems a bit harsh on Lendl, in my opinion.

He is comparing Wimbledon to the Snooker World Championships I guess...

Best players never to win those respective trophies in their respective fields.

Spent many a night at the Filling Station, lots of fun!!

But why only a Race to 10 in 9 ball? Seems rather short....

Just out of curiousity, does anyone know why they'd use the Flag of England for Jimmy White rather than the Union Jack?

Jimmy White has lost in the finals six times for the world pro snooker title.
He did win the world amateur at the age of 18.
