White with brown specks was my second choice.

I think black would look far better on that cue. Then again, I don't like the white with brown specs on anything, so I may be biased.

You made a great choice with the black leather.

My D4 has the light stain and a dark maroon nylon wrap. Too many of the old McDermotts were ruined at the time of manufacture by using blue, red, or other stains which just did not enhance the wood.

Yours looks great with its nutmeg or whatever its called stain.
