Mezz United Joint Questions

I have a Mezz with a United 5/16 x 14 joint and was just wondering if anyone has tried other piloted 5/16 x 14 shafts on their Mezz cue? I know it won't be as snug, but I want to try other performance shafts with my cue.

The schon's "pilot" is too fat fit on the Mezz butt. But most will work. I have and extra HXT piloted 5/16x14 shaft, and it work just fine.:thumbup:
 
I have a Mezz that takes a Falcon, Joss, and Richard Black shaft.
 
I have tried SS360 and it does fit but needs some effort ... so didn't want to damage either the butt or the SS360 shaft ... so stopped using it.
 
Anyone have an extension to fit the axi608 for sale? Used is ok to try... Bolts or shafts United joint for sale too?? No thin shafts pls. 12.5 or thicker. Thanks!
 
If you can't make a ball with one of the mezz shafts, I highly doubt another performance shaft is going to help.

Maybe you need a non-performance (high deflection shaft).
 
I've always used stock shafts... Own everything from a rick Howard to Philippi and so many more... Just wanna try what's out there folks. Thanks for the opinions.
