So i'm been on a mission to go up a ball or two or just get more consistent, started a while back due to the lack of work and was happy. I at times use a camera to view my practice or certain aspect of it, I also use it to tape some of my matches.
Well last night watching one of my recent matches I made a gruesome discovery. Turns out that the sway in my cue when taking my practice stroke was not only (or just) from a mechanic issue but it turns out that I roll my wrist, WTF.
Explanation: While taking my practice stroke I would see my cue move left to right which i blamed on mechanics and thus worked on it diligently but for some reason could not get under control (granted I wasn't able to put in due time at it). What is actually taking place (very surprised I never say this before, or it could be new) is at rest my hand is perfect right down to the wrist but when I back swing it turns inwards or rolls then back to straight when i come forward again.
I really thought that I would be able to go up that ball or two once i got that "twitch" as I called it under control as it would make me miss easy shots something butcher them. I spent so much time focused on keeping the hand straight and the pendulum during the practice stroke that I now fear this would take me down a ball as my attention is on this damn wrist roll or reverse wrist roll cause i have only noticed this on other players following the delivery where the cock the wrist.
Well I just thought i'd mention it as not every one is able to record themselves and their friends may not notice this as they are watching other things, unlike myself who watching a players elbow, wrist, head and all that deep stuff weather live or the pros on the computer.
