Earl ROCKS!!!!!!!

Can't put Earl on the Mosconi team though because the rest of the team is so fragile they would fall apart the minute Earl started talking.

Yeah, can't have one of the best players ever on the team because the rest of the team is so fragile they would need a safe zone like our leaders of tomorrow who are matriculating ... or maybe just masterbating! ;)

If only the Cowboys brought Staubach back they might be inline for a Super Bowl

Hey you guys remember a few weeks ago (I think), Kobe scored 31 points in one game?!!

I don't recall basketball fans saying the Lakers would be in contention to win the title this year.

Ya he's a threat to win another world title who would have thunk it

He doesn't have to, he's won 6 already, which I believe is more than anyone else has won in rotational pool, correct ?

He need to quit whining. He said it himself. Breaking isn't about power. So what limits him from breaking with the best. Lack of knowledge, doesn't work on his break like the other players, old school and thinks the break should be luck. No reason he can't break better. He has the power if needed.
Earl has issues. Some say he is bipolar. Check out how he acts winning vs losing. Bipolar I think would mean, you would act the same way no matter the conditions. Nope obvious sore loser and happy winner.

Bipolar means just what the word suggests. Opposite mood swings. Medication semi controls the wild mood swings.

Only Earl knows why he chooses treatment or not.

When the moon is in the perfect position and his blood sugar is optimum...Earl's High-High gear scares God.

Agreed!... in the threads about Earl, I've always said that despite his antics, there's always the chance he'll hit that high gear and it's lights out. And he used to go there every other tournament back in the day... just one-stroke every ball, perfect position.

Nothing wrong with being an "Earl Fan", he is definitely a real talented guy!..Think how much better off he would be, if he had just an ounce of self control?..His unbearable attitude, his what brings on the "Earl Hater's"..He is very easy to dislike intensely!.. I refuse to give him a free pass, just because he is 'bi-polar'..He knows he needs help, but it seems like he prefers to act the way he does!

With the balls out on the table, Earl plays them as well, if not better than any man in the world.

Admittedly, his break holds him back. At the MIH he was hawking Jayson's and Shane's matches, studying them intently. He knows that they are doing something differently from him, but he just can't put his finger on it.

I spoke with Shane over the weekend, as he and Earl have a very professional, mutually respectful relationship. He said that he tried to tell Earl that he is playing with the "New Generation" now, and that he needs to change if he wants to keep up with guys like Mike, Jayson and himself. He even offered to help Earl to improve his break, to educate him about racking, breaking mechanics etc. However, he said that Earl is very proud and dismissive and wouldn't entertain any help from him, and that is that.

I wish someone would take up a collection to buy Earl a Break Rak so he could practice at Steinway to his heart's content. If he could get his break up to par it would be interesting to see how long he could sustain himself in the game.

Well, we all act in ways that displease others ;) But, not much of a medical plan on the pro pool tour these days. Just like someone that has any problems, they are in denial or really just don't know there is a problem, or most likely can't afford to fix said problem with expensive doctors and drugs? Who knows for sure.

Love or hate him, folks all what to see Earl. Even the haters. He reminds me of Howard Stern. Sterns ratings in NYC were going through the roof, and when NBC were trying to figure out why (they were trying to silence him) and get him out of the big contract they signed him too.

So, they had a report done that show the avg Howard Stern fan listens to his show for more than an hour a day (which is very high for a radio show) but the folks that HATED Howard Stern listened on average for 2 hours per day ??

When asked why if you hate him, do you even listen. Most common answer. " we wanted to hear what he would say next ".

So, the haters of Stern made him number one in the NYC city market. Gotta love that ;) Years later he would sign a 5 year, $100M contract with (pay) satellite radio. I wonder if the "haters" actually now paid to hear what he said next :p
