Tim Sruggs joint pin ACME

Hello! I have made one extra saft to my client (Tim Sgruggs custom cue), but I have a problem with thread. I know that joint pin is ACME, but is it 3/8 -10 tpi or 3/8 -12 tpi. Client lives another place faraway from me.

Yes. Mr. Scruggs used a 3/8x10 acme for a while. As well as the 5/16x14 and the radial but the center hole and the bullet head were removed on the radial. The reason was, he didn't like the look of the bullet head without threads on it. I tried to open your picture. It wouldn't open.

Only a few of tims pins were modified that way. The other 95% of his radial pins were left in their original shape. I've actually never seen the ones he's modified only heard of a few he did himself. The others were normal radials from the only person who makes them for the cue building industry. Regardless if it was modified or not, it could be a radial or a 3/8-10 pin. If your not sure what one looks like, try a couple different joint protecters. If 3/8-10 doesn't fit, you know it's a radial.

Ok. But. Tim and Mike bought thier radial screws from Atlas. The acme screws were cut from threaded rods. How else can I help you?

Both cues appear to be 3/8x10 acme. I only see the price of Mr. Scruggs and Mr. Cochrans cues going up, because let's face it. It's not like you can order one!

Plus those two gentlemen have made excellent players and it's hard to put them away as collectibles, thus the new shaft. I've had my Scruggs for almost 12 years and I just wish I'd bought a few more while they were in better availability.
