Meucci Pro shaft vs ss360/2

Can anybody suggest one of these shafts that has used both of them? I had a Predator pre-cat for about 10 years and went back to a very stiff custom about a year ago and have been struggling a little with some cut shots and long cut shots. Sort of think a new LD shaft may help me regain some of my consistency I had before. I'm a 9 in BCA and play a lot of straight pool usually otherwise. Thanks for the help.

I never shot with a pre cat but I do have a 314. The meucci pro shots quite a bit stiffer than the 314...in my opinion. You know how opinions go ...every one has one and they all dont agree lol .

I liked the pro as far as ld shafts fo but I like standard mall shafts better ...just what I'm used to I guess.

I'd choose the pro shaft by Meucci over the 360. You should consider a Jacoby edge hybrid or a Mezz 700 if your looking for something that hits like a precat predator. Or keep an eye on the forsale section. From time to time precat 314's are available.

What ever you do don't order a 30" shaft from Muecci.... I ordered one thru Mathew Webb (from Meucci) as a Christmas gift on 12/18/2015.... (foolishly expecting it Christmas week) its now 3/11/2016. Nothing sent yet. After Mid Jan Called weekly to Meucci and Webb... threaten to cancel the order on friday 2/19.

Meucci immediately sent out a 29" 'stock shaft'...not mine. Its still here in the wrap waiting to be traded... I'm still waiting for my shaft.... I contact Webb/ Meucci weekly(I have all the texts/emails)... same old song... "its going out next week".

No excuse for this as a business model from Meucci.

Let's see...

If I were you... I'd get a 314-2 and put two tip fiber tip pads and a Medium Ki-tech tip, half height.

Freddie <~~~~ seriously

You should also consider Tiger shafts, great quality and playability.
How would you compare the Tiger X Ultra LD to the 2 I'm now considering? Any experience with them for a comparison?

Thank! That's good to know. I was considering a 30" shaft and actually messaged Webb about it. That was close! I'll look somewhere else if I go with a 30"

Have you shot with the Pro Shaft and the 360/2 for a comparison, or do you just like the Pro Shaft? Not necessarily looking for something like a pre-cat, just think I need to make a change and the pre-cat is what I had before to compare to.

I've tried both. It could be a bit subjective being the shafts didn't have the same tip but I wouldn't play with either. My two favourites are jacoby and Mezz but I've been playing Mezz for a while.

What is it about the ss360/2 that you didn't like? I've seen nothing but good reviews of it so far. Also, which Mezz shaft do you shoot with? Just trying to get a little more info to make a semi-educated decision on which to give a try. Lol. Thanks.

Nothing I didn't like, just the other shafts have a more solid (subjective) hit in my opinion. I lean towards Mezz because I prefer a 5/16 X 14 pin setup and their United joint system is top notch

Definitely no 360. Too much hazzle and it'll take you months to get another one should something happen to the first one.
If you like LDs you might give Tiger a try. I was surprised how well they hit. And this is coming from a raving anti-LD guy.
That being said why not just "learn" your shaft. If you can't make cuts it's not the shaft.
Learn it.

How are the 360 a hassle? Seyberts has them in Stock. Also, I used to play an LD shaft years ago and just have been thinking about going back to them. Not that I don't want to "learn" my Porper shaft but just that the LD tends to be more forgiving if I don't happen to stroke perfectly. I've really been kicking around the idea of the Tiger shafts too. Ultra X LD.

I told you why they can be too much hassle but get it if you want.
Certainly wasn't trying to offend you. Just trying to get as much info about the way they play as possible. I was just saying that they appear to be available from Seyberts.com. if there's an issue with that, I appreciate the info.
