Help with value of Plain Jane It's George cue with nice ring work?

I need opinions on the value of a PJ It's George cue with nice ring work?

I can't post a picture, but can anyone tell me how much his PJ cues start at?

I am told that it is test hit only.

Thanks for any opinions on the value of such a cue.

Seller says that it is in mint condition (test hit for a few games only). $200 to $400 is a big price range for me. Would the value be closer to $200 or closer to $400? Seller wants $375 shipped. Thanks.
 
If you could get it for 350 and it is straight and has a full size shaft, then i think that is very fair. Mikes cues play very good too. You have to pay 275-400 for a custom sneaky and a plain jane is a step up from that.
 
If you don't get it, PM me the details. I'd give 375 for it if everything is straight.

Well, I heard that he learned from Bill Schick (and that Bill Schick even made some of the It's George cues himself, or at least helped out). I asked the seller if the cue is one of the newer ones (because I heard that he started building the cues again), or one of the older ones, but he has not wrote me back about that yet. I heard that Schick cues are super nice playing cues, so maybe the It's George cues play similar.

Yeah, but I get the feeling that the Sneaky cues might be more popular (in the resale department), and I love the looks of a sneaky much more then a plain jane. Hard to beat the looks of a super nice figured Bocote sneaky into Birds Eye maple (for example). Plain Janes just do not look that nice (in my opinion). I also love a wrapless player a lot more.

Those stories have gone around for a long time. More recently, the stories tend to credit Bill with helping them set up shop, but not much else. Bill and Mike know the real story. If you want a Schick, then buy a Schick (I endorse the purchase). My recommendation would be to judge the It’s George on how it plays, not on rumors of whose DNA might still be on it. I considered an It’s George cue when I was also considering my Schick. The It’s George was a fine cue. But I believe made the right decision and paid the extra for the Schick. $375 for a straight It’s George seems like a good price if everything is reasonably straight and in good working order. If you are looking to flip and make money, don’t let me influence your purchase.
