A cue with a tip the same size as cue ball?

Ok, if we assume (please do...for the sake of this argument) that the larger the tip, the less accurate you have to be when striking the cue ball (less chance for accidental english or miscues), what if you had a cue and tip the same size as the cue ball? You'd never miscue, and every shot would be flush! Sounds great, right?

Yes, kindof kidding!

Depending on tip hardness/softness the size is not going to matter much as the amount of the tip that actually makes contact with the ball is not going to go up in relation to the size of the tip.

Tell me how flush you can hit it when whitey is froze on a rail.
....or shooting over an object ball that's froze.

If you buy your own upscale chalk...you can be the first guy who ever went broke...
....just chalking his cue. :)

do a concave cut on the tip, so the tip looks like this and the CB is at point "C", and you will have a massive contact surface with the CB

BRNNNGGGGG

"JC Cases...John Barton speaking...how can I help you?"

"I have one of your Ruggeds....and I can't fit my shaft in it."

"Hmmm, that's a new one....how long is the shaft?"

"Oh, it's normal length, that's not the problem...the tip is the same size as a cue-ball."

"Ummmm
the number you have reached is not in service...
...please hang up and try your call again."

I imagine that it would be very hard to make any kind of shot if the tip was anywhere near the actual size of the cue ball. When it comes to my game, I feel that the smaller the tip, the more control I have over what I can do with the cue ball, and the object ball. I understand that it is easier to miscue, but if you stay down on your shot, concentrate on what you are doing, and have a good tip with good chalk on it, then you should rarely miscue.

Lol, that was funny.

What, nobody telling the poor guy how much squirt he's getting? :D

Other than that - why not try it out? I can't image that it would be fun, though!
And yes, make it concave!

There would be no squirt because the shaft would have to be as stiff as a you-know-what on a wedding night. :D

P.S. Am I allowed to say that? I've got to plead dumb-ass on this one. No one ever really told me whether, or not, I could use the word you-know-what, you know? It's one of those things that is rarely talked about. Maybe pt knows.

Now, THAT is hysterical!

Paul Hubler made a couple cues .

The are legal in every way. Doc's Cues in twin cities. has 1 of 2 made. we call it the hulk Hogan model. ( 1500.) It is made just bigger. does it play better Pool? not. mark

ITS OFFICIAL FOLKS!!! Azbilliards has completely run out of shit to talk about....

I think I'm more ashamed of the fact that I read this post in its entirety.

And now a very fitting quite from Billy Madison

"Mr. Schultz , what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent statement were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

IT'S OFFICIAL. AZB's reputation as a judgemental forum full of a-holes is justified.

Thanks.
