Best PLANE JANE Hard Case, 2x4 which fits a jump cue...

Full leather Rugged Model. Sharkskin embossed cowhide with a nubuk texture.

If this doesn't scream elegant then I don't know what does. Very hard to have let this one go.

This case IS in fact beautiful and looks perfect. If I can afford it I want it.

May I inquire to price? You're welcome to text message me.

Thanks,

Truman

I own a JB case and I am happy with it.
I am second to TrumanHW that you need to hire a "proper" web designer/company to get you a better website (even the new one that isusing Magento).
I am 20s years old but I am very old school, that's why I prefer "quality" and "workmanship" over the look but to be honest do you ever notice how many percent of your customers is under 35? Maybe a "new line" targeting the young folks?

First off, its absolutely not that I don't WANTING any of your cases, its' the as of yet ability to find one that was plain enough looking like the first gen predator cases to want. I have a very short list of desires.

Look pretty much like the first predator series of 2x4 cases.
Hard case (obviously)
Leather
Fit jump cue in the accessory pouch.
Black.
Doesn't look like it models the bags on a harley
Doesn't look like it's cowboy accessory.
Needs to fit 31" Shaft and Butt.

I am not OPPOSED to JB, I Just trawled through your site and couldn't find something that I already liked.

FIRST and foremost, EVERYONE has droves of good things to say about your product. I cannot IMAGINE that your products aren't excellently constructed.

The most likely problem with your product isn't the product, but your website -- because it's quite a bit of work to go through the site to find examples of what I want.

I have a roughly similar problem that I had to solve; I carry about 500 products on my website, which a person can find what they're looking for by answering 4 questions. I found this to be a very difficult and expensive project, so I hope I'm not implying that I underestimate the difficulty of it.

Proprietor to proprietor, I'd be happy to discuss the process I used, and make suggestions for those you could use that would more easily have captured my transaction without even having to discussed much.

With the UTMOST of deference to a guy whos business is clearly successful as attributed by the near cult following of people who love your product, I personally find your website to resemble circa 2003 web design.

I'd be happy to tell you without charge what I learned about costly misadventures in getting my website effective, which STILL needs work, which may potentially be of any help to you.

I think you need a product selector. Start by capacity. hard or soft case, exterior material, available lengths... and then maybe make features like color either a fill in the blank or another graphic option.

Browsing cases by name depends upon the potential buyer to be knowledgable with your names or (less likely) naming convention.

I do NOT sell web services... not hosting, not graphic design, not programming. I have merely wasted so much money learning these things that it's a pleasure to share what I've lost money learning to businesses whom I don't compete with... especially those who clearly make great product, take pride in their product, but have a transaction device (website) which does a disservice to the ease by which they convert visitors to transactions.

Also, I know there's a slight bit of sarcasm on your side which I think is perfectly justified. It certainly seemed like I was denigrating your product, when in fact, it was just the frustration I felt in even finding a product that I could commit to without having someone give me a guided tour of your available products.

Please accept my apologies to any extent they seemed like a critique of your product rather than the website. Running a small business (in my experience) is VERY hard, and difficult to not take personally. I should have been more careful in my word choice.

Regards... and feel free to take me up on the discussion.

I guess the people I paid 20k to help develop the site aren't proper enough :-)

The website is a work in progress, it will never be perfect but it gets better day by day. I do agree that it's kind of a mess though.

The bulk of the money went to creating the design tool though. Hopefully the day will come sooner than later when we have 100% website control in house.

We don't really do lines so to speak. We have models but those are really just custom cases that we did which were named and thus if anyone wants another one then we refer to that original case to extend the group of cases made in that style.

I don't really know what you mean by targeting young folks? We have customers as young as 9, lots of teens, lots of 20s 30s 40s etc.... You can design a case to fit your tastes on our designer tool or through conversation with us if needed. It's rare that we can't figure out something that you will like.

The thing with full custom is that there really isn't any particular design that appeals to 20 year olds and not to 40 year olds. I have been doing this a long long time and at every show I see people of all ages browsing our cases and there simply isn't any case we make that all 20 somethings hate that I have seen. But if you can be more specific then sure we can create cases that have whatever look is hot for younger players.

I do think I could probably pay attention to fashion and the year's colors (there is actually a set of colors for every year deemed by Pantone to be the most popular colors of the year. This is taken seriously by automakers and fashion houses.)

Will definitely be calling you. Yes I was a bit snarky and I guess it was because of being singled out as looking cheap or biker that was a bit irritating when we try so hard to accommodate everyone.

As to the site.....sure any help is appreciated. Funny thing is that I had spent 40k and created a product selector that could be used in any direction to drill down to the exact case criteria when I owned Instroke and then as soon as I sold my interest in that company the new owners scrapped it in favor of a template site that sucks. All because they didn't want to pay the developer the agreed on $100 a month for hosting and maintenance. Which was cheap IMO considering the work we had into developing it.

About three weeks ago I discovered 2 Second Lean. I will leave it up to anyone who wants to look up what that is to do so. For us it's a major game changer and the site will be reflective of that very very soon.

.

That was idiotic of them. Basically, the first website just solidifies the idea... the second website makes the graphics right (graphic designer should never be the web developer)... and then, when you finally do the 3rd iteration, you can probably have the web developer write the code in a way that other developers can intuit and work from.

I'm assuming style and capacity are the two most important features. I think the quickest way to make your website immediately more searchable would be to have thumbnail images which are relatively small (50kb) and then the ability to see a product page with the capacity options.

Please text me tomorrow. It looks like your 3x5 is about the same size as my other case YOU made...lol because it's the first gen predator 2x4 with the cat logo... but holds a little more.

Is the case you showed as physically durable as the old predator case? Can I fit a jump cue in the main bag/compartment? Will this fit a 31" butt and shaft? :)

Thanks again,

Truman
