Chicago area, any weekly tournaments?

Going to be there in mid July with my son for the Junior Nationals, already warned the wife we will be out a couple of days vising the good rooms in the area.

Anyone have info on some weekly tournaments we can join?

I'd take any contact numbers also, and wold be happy to reach out when we are there to meet up and say Hi.

If I am not mistaken, Chris's Billiards has a handicapped 9-ball tournament on Sunday night and 8-ball tournament on Wednesday nights. You may want to call to be sure about the night for the 8-ball tournament. Both are on 9-ft Gold Crowns.

I've always been curious, but have never checked it out, as I'm a little bit out in the 'burbs. Every Friday night is an 8 ball tournament in Joliet as well, but it's a bit of a cruise from the city.

Someone sent me a PM with that Joliet one, if we can I would not mind heading there, that looks to be the prison that was in Blues Brothers, and that is one of my son's favorite movies. We are planning on vising a few sites from the movie, and if there is a tournament in the area all the better LOL

That seems to be one of the few locations still looking original, many of the buildings were torn down or changed.
