not enough players to start a tournament

Just a suggestion; as others have said and me knowing the area and players, may even you should reconsider your structure. The threshold for the area for a weekly tournament seems to be $20. Also give back at least 90% each tournamnet. If you don't know already, you should take the other local tournaments into consideration. Weekends will not be good for you btw. Something mon- Thursday is probably where you need to be. I honestly would suggest Monday. Once a week. Spend the rest of your time fostering action, and catering to the players. You are a little out of the way so there is gonna have to be a good reason for people to " just drop in ". One last thing, you obviously are looking for local players. You would be much better served with going to a couple of the existing weekly tournamentschedule locally and talking to people rather than advertising on AZ - IMO.

thanks for the advice, I have been reaching out locally, statewide and other venues. I am going to revamp the payouts and structure of my tournaments. I will be working with my webmaster to restructure the site. Coming Soon. Thanks again for your support.

Np, couple more things if I may. If you didn't know ( I'd assume you would though ) the beginning of summer is the absolute worst time to open up a pool hall. It's slows down everywhere but especially in this area - too many other things going on, vacation, going depending the ocean, boating, fishing, crabbing and on aND on. If you can make it to September that's when everything picks up.

One place that would be good for you to visit is 999's. Go for their Sat tournament , but get in the tournament and spend some money while there so your not scene as a dick. Couple other crowds I'd be trying to get if I were you - there's a place by you called Moni's. They had a nice tournament going for awhile, not sure if it is right now though. Also Big Daddys Tues tournament was very popular for quite some time and people traveled pretty far to go to it - DC, VA, etc. Often had pros pop in for it too. Someone you should DEFINITELY reach out to is Curtis. He's on AZ as Inside English. He could help you tremendously with the tournament s if he so chose - and I hear he's just coming " out of retirement " lol. If nothing else would be great to talk to.

I wish you luck. Without alcohol you are fighting an uphill battle but can be done. I suggested Monday because tue, weds, Thurs are big league days. Friday, sat everyone's going bar hopping and what not then Sunday is a down day, a day to recover lol. Anyway, good luck - I'll check you out next time I'm remotely close ( I CAN NOT STAND THE TRAFFIC ON ROUTE 3!!! )
