I wonder why so few members or lurkers visit the WTB section.

Every time I go to the wanted / for sale section, I see very few people viewing the WTB section, and a lot of people viewing the for sale section (for example, at this time I see 5 people viewing the WTB section, and 57 people viewing the for sale section).

Does this mean that very few people are interested in what others are looking to buy, or why such a low interest in looking at what others are wanting to buy?

I imagine that there should be a lot more interest in looking at that section of the forum, because I know that a lot of people have extra cues that they might be looking to sale (cues that people might be posting about in the WTB section).

So, I just do not understand why at any time of day, I see very few people currently viewing the WTB section.

Thanks for any thoughts about this.

There are a lot more potential buyers of cues than there are sellers waiting to make a specific sale. If I am selling a wrapless jacoby for example. I am going to list in the for sale section and go on about my day. Not wait in the WTB section for someone to ask if any wrapless jacobys are for sale. It just doesn't make sense.

I am not looking for a cue
I am not looking for accessories
I am not looking for a case

Exactly why would I be in the WTB section?

It should be titled WYG Section, Want You to Give section. I've responded to several of the threads and it never fails that the OP is always looking for a 1k item for $100. Brian.

Maybe because you have something (that you do not need or want) that someone is looking to buy (like a cue, a shaft, or a case).

I am not that stupid. People do not offer 1k cues for a $100. Most of the stuff people offer is overprices in my opinion. By the way, I can't remember you offering me anything for $100. Just because I may not have been interested in what you had to offer, does not mean that I was looking for a 1k cue for a $100. You may have offered me something like a DP cue, which I would not have wanted at any price.

You are looking for DP prices for name brand cues. $50 high quality shaft? That's a Dale Perry shaft, but you claim you don't want that at any price.

$35 for a VERY nice shaft wasn't a good enough deal to avoid a thread.

The last shaft that I recently sold on here was made by Ron Haley. It was a very nice 30 inch shaft, and I had a very hard time getting $75 shipped out of it (which was around $60 after the shipping costs, and paypal fee). So, if the market is really that bad (which it must be, because of how long it took me to sell my Haley shaft), then yeah, I think I should be able to find a nice used shaft for $50.

Read the guy's post again. He is saying people want 1k cues for 100. He never said people are in that section offering 1k cues for 100.

I am not leaving this thread until we are all up to speed.

I am really very sorry about that thread, but I made no mention of the sellers name on that thread. Was just getting very angry after 3 promises on 3 different days on a shipping date, and the shaft had still not been shipped (after over a week since I paid for it).

With all due respect, I wouldn't buy a southwest shaft from you for $75. You have proven (not demonstrated) that you are very difficult to deal with. I don't need that drama in my life when buying pool equipment.

You can't really say "no I don't want a refund" when I told you I wasn't going to meet the first deadline you imposed, then get angry after repeated offers to issue a refund...

You say you don't need that drama in your life but yet here you are arguing or putting
someone down. Crap like this just amazes me.

Why not? You would receive the shaft very quick after paying me, and you would receive it exactly as advertised. There would be no drama (on my end anyways), unless you did not receive what was advertised by me (in the condition that I advertised it to be in), and if you had any issues, then I would offer a complete and fast refund. There would be no drama in dealing with me.

But if you sell to me, then please send me the item in as advertised condition, and ship within a reasonable amount of time, or ship when you tell me the item will be shipped.

I am not hard to deal with (just so people are honest with me).

But even after a week, I did not want a refund. I still wanted the shaft. So, I created a thread (talking about reasonable shipping times, after payment is received), but I did not mention the sellers name, or any details about the item, or the price. The only person that would have known who I was talking about was the seller himself. I understand though. I am sorry.

I got notified by several people who knew our deal, laughing at me for "falling into the Justin trap" after they saw the thread.

I thought I was helping out a fellow player in need, not helping the Taylor Swift of AZBilliards write another song.
