Do we have a disagreement? If you think so, then I suggest articulating it differently. I see no disagreement here.
I have been referring to Rhea and Rob. Someone mentioned the Karen / Ko match....... as I stated " just a hand full of the ladies " and she definitely falls within that group. What I am doubting / disagreeing with is Rhea's belief Isystem that the rankings of the men and women when having the same number ( ranking ) is absolutely the same in terms of level of play. Possibly I may be wrong but I truly do not believe so. Just as an example ; I think if a man has a ranking of let's say 700 and a woman has a ranking of 700 that in general more times than not the man is going to crush the woman. Why? Because I believe while the actual #'s ( rankings ) may be the same on paper, they are in fact not the same - basically an apples to oranges comparison. How? Going on the assumption that the majority of the data collected for the woman is from her playing other woman and the majority of the data collected for the man is from playing other men. Other than that handful of women I mentioned earlier, I feel on the whole, the level of play of the ladies is below, or lesser, or subpar, or however you would like to phrase it compared to the men as a whole. The formula used for data collection from both the men and women are exactly the same ( hence how they can get the exact same rating ( #'s ) but the level of play is not that's all.
