Hi, I'm looking to purchase my first table. I originally was going to buy a new table, the Beringer Ambrosia, I was able to get a wholesale price around 2300 inc shipping not assembly. However I can't find any good reviews of the company and their pool table information was very lacking. Emailing the company didn't get me any response
Started searching used tables. I found two worthwhile tables that both look decent in the ad.
An Olhausen Drake II 8" for around ~1550 includes shipping and assembly and new felt.
An Olhausen 30th Anniversary (looks like an Eclipse) 8" for ~1000 but I am responsible for shipping and assembly and re-felting. Also the table is about 150 miles from me (2.5 hr drive) which will mean maybe 500-600 additional
The 30th Anniversary frame looks a bit newer even though its older. Not having seen it in person, any thoughts? Both models 'should' have accufast cushions. I think the eclipse has a higher msrp than the drake and looks a bit better in general. Any thoughts?
