So what are the "Milk Dud" tips I keep reading about on the forum?

I even went to Pool Dawg and searched for them there - the search engine recognized the phrase enough to bring me to their cue tips section, but did not reveal the product in question. Cute, right?

What are you guys talking about?

Elkmaster or Blue Diamond tip soaked in milk. Then pressed. Various recipes out there. You can just save yourself some time and use a Triangle tip ;)

I recommend buying from AzB's own Pooldawg8. Really nice guy to deal with and his duds are the best out there

I soak LePro tips in milk and put them in a vise for 24 hours. They play great too

Hot water works wonders on Le Pros. Not too hot, but around 70-80C for a minute, and then pressing them turns them into a pretty consistent tip. It's how they used to make leather armour.

What is the drying out process? I bought some once and notices I could basically peel the tip apart with my fingers. Not sure what happened but I had to discard them for a different tip.

I don't understand the question. How do you dry the tip after it's soaked?

You didn't buy those from pooldawg8,and that's what your comment suggests. He would stand behind his !!!

Milk Duds refer to single layer tips that are hand selected, soaked, and compressed. They usually have higher consistency from tip to tip afterwards, while offering comparable quality to multi-layer tips at a fraction of the cost.
