Well I was hoping the QMD would do this but it appears not.

The product I would like to buy would fit somewhere unobtrusively on my cue and simply count how many times I have shot. Like an odometer.

I do not think it would be particularly helpful for pool players, but for us billiard players it would give us an easy passive way to count innings, and make tracking our average more practicable.

It seems to me that this should be easy to do, but I am one of the most un-mechanical people around so what do I know. But if someone made this I would buy it.
 
First off: excellent idea! I think there would be a small market for it. But then: you'd still have to keep track of the number of points you've made, to be able to calculate your average.

doesnt the qmd count your shots??
thats how you can study different shots during a practice session??

It has not proven to be reliable in this aspect. I get too many spurious chirps because of random cue movements and it DOES miss some shots.

Don't get me wrong, I still like the QMD, just not for this particular purpose.

I'm sorry to say that the quality of my play assures that counting the number of billiards is not an onerous chore. LOL

I assume you will be in Bordeaux for the Worlds? If so I hope to run into you and introduce myself, as I thoroughly enjoy your writing.
