Schon butt cap removal

I'm looking to replace the butt cap on my Schon and wanted to check if there's an easy way to do this. I've removed the hex bolt but there's not much to grab onto to pull (or twist?) the butt cap out. I've had other cues where the butt cap is threaded and can be unscrewed or easily pulled off. Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with this. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Willie
If it's original Schon equipment. It pulls right off. If it was changed. It may now be threaded. Before you change it, be aware the Schon has a pretty strict policy about working on one of thier cues that someone else has worked on.

OP,

Are you referring to the rubber bumper shown in the picture or what the bumper fits into? If you want the bumper out, just try to work it from side to side with a fingernail or two, slowly so you don;t tear the rubber.

Keith, yes - that was exactly what I was referring to. The bumper required back and forth nudging to get it out. It was the initial pull that I wasnt sure about since I didn't want to scratch the butt finish. The deed is done now.

Glad that it worked out for you.
