Ever play with the original Meucci sp? Close but not exactly due to shaft/ferrule differences.Schmelke will put 5/16x18 or 3/8x10 pin in. I ordered a 3/8x10 with black collars and a black cap. I opted for rosewood/straight maple. 140bux total. How can you beat that? Can't in my book. Get one. Hell if you don't like it use as a back-up or give it away.

I agree but Id like some opinion on how the cues that are standard with no extra charges hit. I know that you get used to whatever but a nice soft hit is always attractive.I would do the same as you for myself and ask for the 3/8 x 10.

I meant to tell you i've got your aiming book. My aiming system is kind of a witches-brew of 90-90,HalHoule and your stuff. Your image of every shot as a rail shot is quite helpful.

I always thought there was something to the way I approach it that was unique. I wish I'd developed this when I was 10yrs old! Id have worked over some people pretty good with it all those years. I entered my first tournament in years yesterday because its winter and I have some time for once. I went through to 4th no problem, but I was having such a good time I forgot to eat supper and this guy with a 74 in cue handled me like I wasnt there and Im thinking why am I struggling with him. I guess you also have to feed the body! My engine needed some fuel. I used to carry power bars with me. If I do that I think I can give some of these guys a run for it! Thanks for the compliment!

3/8 x 10 pin is wood to wood, so yes, a soft hit. The standard tips are not so soft. So, you would need to install a new tip, or order it with a soft tip.
