Agreed,, they look generous to me for sure
Pockets are tight but the rubber is soft and it slides real bad, along with new cloth, lights, it plays really easy. But if your shooting a ball into pocket no rail they are pretty small.
Americans lineup today....If they want a chance to win.
What are you saying with your above comment?
It's the first day. Anything can happen. Both sides deal with the same conditions. The long flight and weather/air/dampness/room conditions etc over the pond, often take it's toll on those whom travel the most. Today is a completely different day. My hope is that Shane can put blinders on, and avoid the distrations of what's seen and not heard. Also, how did the team do in the lagging end of play?
delete....dupe
Table will definitely play much tougher on the 3rd and 4th day, but for now, the Europeans will bask in their glory of slop ball-pocketing.
That being said, why can't the Americans f$%king run out with ball in hand? Screw the pocket size, or the rails, or the lean of the table, they have failed to run out multiple times with an open table and even with BALL IN HAND and no clusters. C'mon man.
Also, we have yet to win a single lag.

Thanks for the first-hand info! Some of those made balls where pretty tough to take, I think Gray shot a ball with a backwards cut that hit over a diamond up the rail, but went in. Looked like he was playing on a 5" pocket table with a roll towards that pocket LOL
I had crap like that happen to me on a table during a tournament, have not gone there again since. I don't need to see someone miss a shot, then watch it bank 2 rails and slowly roll 4 inches sideways into a pocket.
It is interesting the table talk since they switched to a Rasson Table. That is not a widely used brand in the states but used more in Europe. It will be interesting to see how today goes.
Yep. Losing the lags have been key. TONNES of hill hill matches matches lost yesterday.
Did I say it was key? Should the Americans not practice the lag because not every match is guaranteed to go hill-hill?
Winning the lag and getting that first break and run is crucial. It sets the tone and builds your confidence. If you don't think the lag is important, then I'm not sure what to tell you. That wasn't even my main point, you ignored the statement above that.
The Euros aren't winning because they're breaking first. They won most of the racks that the US broke. So...the break hasn't been critical. Also, there were very few dry breaks yesterday. The US team is getting thrashed after the break. They're being outsafed, outpushed, and outkicked.
I ignore most of your posts. The nonsense you post to start threads makes it hard to take you seriously. You're one rung above Justin.

They have been coming up dry more then the Euros... US seems to be playing a bit more aggressive then the Euros and its hurting them I think because the aggressiveness is causing mistakes (misses or poor position). If the Euros are winning most of US breaks that means US isn't making a ball or losing control over the table..
Seems pretty critical to me.

9ball is agressive in general, but in such a short race I think you need to be as conservative as possible. Do whatever you need to do that guarantees you get back on the table... dont take a low percentage shot that you need luck for the position.
I dont know... im just a shitty local player and they are the best in the world...
