when i open this thread the posts are oversized on page one only
meaning i have to use the grey bar at the bottom to move the the post to read from side to side
if i go to another page the posts are sized right
if i go back to page 1 it is over sized
why would be nice to know but better
would be how do i fix it?
here is the link
i dont have this problem with most other threads
occasionally it has happened before

It's because the pictures are so big they're defining the display width. Nothing you can do really.

I wish AZ had some sort of auto resize for posting pictures it can really mess up a thread when a really wide picture gets posted.

I always resize any pictures i post to the appropriate width to make sure this wont happen.

I saw something in one post somewhere that the Mods asked folks to keep pictures limited to 800 px ... I'm guessing it's for that reason.

Wish it was automatic somehow. A lot of cue sellers post pics that are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big.

You can and should resize pictures to fit nicely here. When you download a JPG, or take a picture with a camera and load to your PC, it often defaults to a very large size, which as you can see, a lot of people leave as is.

Here is what you need to do. Open the picture, then open Microsoft Picture Manager. Should be in all versions of Windows. Then go to resize, and select Large Document. That fills up the screen nicely on most screens, with no need to scroll. Not sure about Mac systems, but I assume they have something similar.

All the best,
WW

I use windows and have absolutely no idea if this is an option on a Mac.

In pages like this, instead of having to use the grey bar at the bottom, use the "middle click" on your mouse. ("middle click" is clicking the scroll wheel.) A cirle uppears where you clicked, and it has arrows. Without clicking anywhere again, move your mouse to the direction you want to scroll the page, in this case to the right to read the end of the line of text, then to the left to the beggining of the next line. The page will follow your mouse. To stop this, click your croll wheel again.

Obviously this won't work if you don't have a mouse, like a laptop using a trackpad instead of a mouse.
