This comment is so ignorant and obnoxious...borderline racist....that I don't know where to start.
Really...how so? I took this as Chinese cues using inferior materials and building specs.
Racist??? That's a reach...
Exactly. I wasn't taking a shot at Chinese people at all. I've been playing pool for about 37yrs. and other than a few Predators I've NEVER seen a Chinese cue that was worth ANYWHERE near $750. That's my story and i'm sticking to it. All i can go by is what i have personally seen and played with. BTW Mr. ThoughtPolice, i buy a LOT of Chinese-built products and am happy with their quality/value.Really...how so? I took this as Chinese cues using inferior materials and building specs.

Hell yeah!! Mongolian beef, yes. Cues, no. Sue me." I know you eat ALOT OF CHINESE CARRY OUT![]()
"Have you ever seen a Chinese cue that you'd pay more than $700US for?"
LUSJ is a prominent Chinese custom cuemaker. His plain janes are easily worth upwards of $1000. And he does some pretty ridiculous ringwork. Deeming something inferior because of the country of origin is racist. Sorry. That's pretty black and white. There are cheap cues made in the USA. A Lucasi, or even a Players cue, will have better quality control than a Schmelke that's made in the USA. The location of the cuemaker or the facility in which the cue is made has ABSOLUTELY no bearing on the quality of the product. The QC of the cuemaker dictates that.
Nah.
Lusj is a taiwanese custom, dude used to play professional pool.
Taiwanese n chinese are entirely different category.
Many old taiwanese pros used to play with their own customs, plays solid n good wood.
Now when we talking bout China, ahem , entirely different category.. unless u wanna go production which some maintains pretty high standards.

The one in theClass. is wrapless and is nice looking but i just don't think its a $750 cue. If he gets that for it more power to him.i got a Zeus cue , SW style .
Dunno where you got the price, but for sure the price of a SW Zeus with linen wrap isn't 750$ -or more- . They are sold in europe around 320€ , so should be 300 to 350$ depending of the wood. (look here , an example of a Zeus SW style sold -new- by dave in Germany -> http://www.doubledavecues.com/zeus-sw6p01-p-3862.html )
You should ask to Paul or Chady about them ;-). They are well used by Taiwanese players, because compatible with SW's ......
To me, a very good cue for the money it is, because the finish is nice , the shaft plays superbly and when needed i can use it on my Barenbrugge, thanks to its 3/8x11 modified pin...
good Taiwanese cues, but it's only my personnal opinion ... well made, solid, good shafts, 6 "real" points (not decals) for under 350 bucks ...
ahhh , i've found it ;-) .The one in theClass. is wrapless and is nice looking but i just don't think its a $750 cue. If he gets that for it more power to him.

I could make an argument for the fact that 90% of the cues in the FS section aren't worth what people are asking for them. Chinese or not![]()

You're probably in the ballpark there. Most cues that get sold here usually end up going for less than asking price unless its a Szam, Tasc, SW, etc. There's just too many "player" grade cues on the market to pull the kind of $$ people ask for them.I could make an argument for the fact that 90% of the cues in the FS section aren't worth what people are asking for them.
