Help with info about a cue with the RHINO logo on it? Who made it, and where? Thanks.

I think that there are at least 3 cues that are called RHINO (made by different cue makers, in different parts of the world), that have been made in the past.

There is a cue maker (named Charlie Wilhite from Danbury TX) who calls his cues RHINO, but I can't find any pictures of his cues, or ways to identify his cues (other then his preferred 3/8x10 joint that he prefers to use on his cues).

And then there is this line of cues, called RHINO.

Well, I think there is also a 3rd cue maker (probably from China I am guessing, due to the Uni Loc joint that was used on the cue). Here is a link to a few cues that use the logo of the cue that I am curious to learn more info about.

Does anyone know who made the cues (in the link above), and where they were made? Were they decent quality (compared to a current Lucasi for example)? Thanks for any info about the RHINO cues that are pictured in the tampabilliards link that I posted above. Just curious to know if these were decent quality, and if you think they were good players (if you ever tried one out in the past). Any other info that you can think to post (about the RHINO cues in the link above) would be helpful too.

Thanks.

I now live near Junction, Texas and my cues are always signed in a 2 line signature:

Rhino by
Wilhite.

I built 2 cues that had a Rhino head scrimshawed on the buttcap but the piece was ivory in both cases.

The other Rhino cues with picture logos are all Asian imports.

Jim Buss, as a joke some years ago, sent me a picture of the swirly orange and white cue and an email, "Charlie, Love your new designs!" I called him but cannot repeat what I told him when he answered the phone! Cue makers gonna always pull pranks!

Hi, I am sorry for mixing your name up with these other cheap imports. I should have known better. Thanks for your reply.

Not a problem. I first used the name Rhino Cues in 1992. But I always signed the cues in the 2 line signature: Rhino by
Wilhite

To my stupidity, I did not trademark the name.

The Asians liked the name and suddenly, I had people calling me bout "my cue" that they had recently purchased.

Most people who have seen or played with my cues know the difference between the imports and my cues.

They say that "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" but I do not necessarily agree, in this case.

Just by looking at the other cue maker's on Gunn's Tampabilliards site, I have to think that he too believes that these are your cues.

What do you think?

Look at the "potential" Paradise. They need some help in IDing cues.

interesting how, when performing your google search of "rhino cues," you found the jj links and the bluebook and tampa links, but not the several links to threads here, sandwiched between them in the search results, that fully detail the topic.
