Coloured Ferrules

Does anyone know where I could get brightly colored ferrule material for a playing cue?

Or if there's any way I could make my own. It's also for a low deflection shaft. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Or if anyone has any recomendations for painting etc. I just want a bright red ferrule on my playing cue.

Scotch makes a series of tape called "expressions" that come in various colors. I've actually seen it used for this exact purpose. It's very thin, similar to regular Scotch tape. I played against a guy who wanted his ferrule to be a different color than the cue ball. He believed it was easier to see where your tip was lining up against the white of the cue ball.

It's no problem to.make a ferrule from a billiard ball.
Juma comes in magma red dragon colour, that's red with snake scale pattern :)

This is polyester/acrylic/solid surface material, both of these colors have been
discontinued, may be some old inventories out there.
I've experimented a lot on this shaft with this stuff, having not shot with all the different
shafts and ferrule combinations available I couldn't say how it compares.
I break and play with it having no issues and it stays clean,
it will not take a hard fall to a concrete floor, it shatters.

has a inexpensive black cuesoul tip M
Ferrule does taper up from 11.75 to 12.75.

You guys are making this way too complicated asking someone to make a one off ferrule. $$$
The Colored Scotch Tape is the way to go.

You could make one out of veneer stock. Glue the sheets together, turn it round. Wala

Maybe get someone to shape an old ball (object ball/s obviously because you wanted colours :D) to become a ferrule?

For one game. Maybe the tape. But tape all the time? That would be funny.
???
Colored Scotch Tape is perfect.
It's thin.
It's color is even and permanent.
It's removable.

I put a black line on my ferrules to use as an aiming line and to consistently keep the grain of the shaft in alignment.
Someone in the past made ferrules with a red line.

You young 'uns act like you've never heard of rit dye. Available everywhere, even the wal-mart craft isle. Rit dye in alcohol will soak into any plastic. If that doesn't do it, Rit in acetone will surely do the trick. Get into mad Scientist zone, then take the material to a cue maker.

Your question reminded me of this thread.
