Possible $100,000 match: Shaw vs. Shane or Shaw/Filler vs. Skylar/Bergman !?!

the big difference is that Shaw wants 9ball and Shane prefers 10ball

one more question is that whether Shane still has interest and passion in pool, he looks happier away from pool and needs a break

we need a Filipino in the equation, or two

watching the Mosconi Cup was a pain to me, i am not disappointed with the way USA lost, but with all the antics from the so-called professional players who should have, and surely can, control themselves better.

I hope this match will happen and someone, either US, PI or TW to teach Shaw/Filler a lesson

You'll go broke betting that, I can assure you.

He shoots straight, I grant you that, but the game is not 100% about shooting straight. It's about how he stands up to adversity. And nobody saw him stand up to any adversity as the Americans basically handed the Mosconi Cup to him.

Get him in a long set against Shane, and we'll see how he stands up with Shane puts a 6 or 7 pack on him on a tough table. You just saw him free-stroking in the Mosconi Cup due to lack of real pressure.

MUCH better players than Filler have gotten their nuts shot straight in by Shane.

Short Bus Russ
If you think a tough table will bother Filler, check out tapes of his matches at the Deurne City Gabriel's 10-foot 10-ball Challenge 2016, where he took down everyone including Jayson Shaw to win that tournament, on a 10-foot table with 4-1/8" pockets. I agree though, the question is how will he handle adversity if/when Shane puts the heat on him.

Jayburger if they ever play for the cash you have that bet. As far as the fool and his money comment. Only a fool bets with his heart a gambler bets in reality.

Then gamblers must not be very realistic. They go busted quite regularly which tells me that every gambler meets his Waterloo from time to time.

A gambler that goes bust is betting with his heart, not in reality.

I'd have to bet on Dennis O. if he plays a long Ten Ball match with Jayson. Dennis has that magic ingredient that allows him to play greater under pressure and put the pressure on his opponent at the same time. I'm not sure Jayson wants Dennis on a neutral court, like at DCC. Notice he is asking players to come to his poolroom to play. Nice to have the home court advantage.

Filler surely is the coming youngster from Europe and a super straight shooter. But he has not yet acquired the all around pool knowledge to compete with Shane in a 10ball set to 100... Filler might stand a chance in a couple of years... not now.

If Jayson brings his A-game to the table for a couple of days he might beat Shane. If both bring their B-game only to the table, Shane will win.

If it ever happens Russ I will gladly take your money. Filler is the real deal and anyone who has followed his career knows this. There is not 1 american player, that can beat him, for the cash in any rotation game.

What career?

I am no SVB fan boy but if you think Filler at this time is beating him in a race to 100, I will also bet big on Shane to win pretty comfortably. SVB is a big favorite in that match at this time. One thing to shoot dead straight on tough equipment in a short race, a completely different animal with cash on the line especially 6 figures.

Some of you need to do your home work before posting. I can see you are out of touch of who is who in the world of billiards. It happens when you get old I understand.
Since you will not understand what this means either I will shorty explain.
When a young man meets a woman and falls in love.(Shane and Skylar) The 1st thing that starts to dwindle is there pool game.(Just look at Sky's last performance). Especially when not putting in the hours like they use to. That is all for now..... When and if the time comes for a doubles match or singles for the cash, I will be waiting to take your money. We will see who steps up then.

huh?

who's talking about sky?

at this point, shane vs filler to 100 might be a career-ender for the german. the kid has a better chance of leaving with ptsd than with the cash.

and, for the record, filler brings his girlfriend along when he plays. so much for closely following his career.

and, one last thing: if they do play, and filler gets past 50, it's only because he poached the break that shane invented.

Sky was mentioned for the doubles match. I see you did not read the OP original post.
As far as your opinion on who would win in a singles match. Well time will tell.

One last thing, If they ever do play for the cash( which I doubt will ever happen). I will put you down for a bet on my list.
Have a nice day. I am done with this post.
